OUR STORY

FROM COMPETITION TO FESTIVAL

What began in 2021 as the 284 Excellence Film Competition has evolved into the 284 Excellence Film Festival, an international celebration of film with Caribbean storytelling at its heart.

Created initially to provide a platform for filmmakers in the British Virgin Islands, 284 Excellence has grown from a local film competition into a regional and international festival connecting emerging talent, established filmmakers, industry professionals and audiences.

Our roots remain local. Our stage is now global.
